Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 July 2026

Dyez ("Dyez", "we", "us") provides a salon management platform used by salon owners and their staff to take bookings, message customers, and run day-to-day operations. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have.

This policy covers three groups: salon owners and staff who use Dyez to run a salon, customers who book appointments through a salon on Dyez, and visitors to this website.

1. Who controls the data

When a salon uses Dyez to manage its own customers and bookings, the salon is the controller of that customer data and Dyez acts as its processor. Dyez handles that information on the salon's instructions to provide the service. For account data, billing, and this website, Dyez is the controller.

2. Information we collect

From salon owners and staff

From customers who book through a salon

From website visitors

3. How we use information

4. WhatsApp and messaging

Dyez lets a salon link its own WhatsApp number to send transactional messages to its customers. When linked, message delivery runs through that number. Dyez does not send marketing broadcasts on a salon's behalf. Messages are limited to booking-related notifications. A salon can unlink its number at any time.

5. When we share information

We do not sell personal data. We share it only as needed to run the service:

6. Payments

Dyez does not process card payments and does not store card numbers. Salon subscriptions are billed on an invoice basis. Where a salon records a customer payment (cash, card, or UPI) in Dyez, only the fact and amount of the payment are stored, not card details.

7. How long we keep data

We keep account and salon data for as long as the account is active. Customer booking data is retained on behalf of the salon while it uses Dyez. When an account is closed, we delete or anonymise data within a reasonable period, unless we must keep records to meet legal or accounting obligations.

8. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and staff PIN logins rather than shared passwords. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, and misuse. See our Security overview for more.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain uses. If you are a customer of a salon, contact that salon first, as it controls your booking data. For account and website data, contact us using the details below. Salon owners can export their data as CSV at any time.

10. Children

Dyez is a tool for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children through this website.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify account holders.
